Homeless Pet Clubs

Be the voice for homeless pets in your community.

Introducing, for the first time on the west coast, Homeless Pet Clubs (HPC).  A web based adoption advocate group we’ve partnered with to give schools, businesses, scouts, and other community groups a simple and free-to-establish way to help find forever homes for homeless pets in our community.

Simply register your class, office, or group online (choose Butte Humane Society as your rescue group), select an animal to champion, and then use fliers, newsletters, email, Facebook, and other social media to get the word out about that animal!  You can also put on an event to raise money to sponsor the adoption fee for that animal you chose.  You will be notified when the pet you’ve championed gets adopted.  Pat yourselves on the back for a job well done and start all over again to choose a new animal.

Being a Homeless Pets Club Champion (or sponsor as HPC calls it) instills in people young and old, increased skills and characteristics such as:

  • social skills
  • networking skills
  • creativity
  • empathy
  • philanthropy
  • entrepreneurship
